Playing with layers in Photoshop

Photoshop let me re-invent this ordinary image taken in Charleston, SC. and change it into more elusive ephemeral, imaginary place, a corner of The Photo Avenue. I also used a photo of clouds taken over the Baltic Sea from my trip to Europe as a background. This exercise is a composite of 8 layers, some with layer masks, hue/saturation and brightness/contrast adjustment.

The photo-session for the first issue of the Wedding Dreams Magazine

This photo-shoot brought together a great group of people and businesses:

Model – Stephanie G. of Gemini Models,

Gowns – Sophie’s Gown Shoppe,

Flowers – Pink Poppi,

Make-up – Erika Snyder,

Hair – Evolution Concepts,

Location – Walper Hotel

Thanks to all for making that day a wonderful experience !

SUMMER…. still

Spring in full bloomSpring in full bloom

And Spring arose on the garden fair,
Like the Spirit of Love felt everywhere;
And each flower and herb on Earth’s dark breast
rose from the dreams of its wintry rest.
~Percy Bysshe Shelley, “The Sensitive Plant”
